As a lecturer and subject coordinator at the , I am lucky enough to co-ordinate a fantastic subject call Exploring French Wine, Food and Culture. In the next few months myself, some other lucky staff and a small group of students will be traveling to France for the inaugural offering of this subject.  We will spend two weeks traveling around the wine regions of France from Paris, to Champagne, Burgundy, through Lyon and then back around to Bordeaux (check out the itinerary for the places we will be visiting at each region).  We will have a special gastronomical dinner with matched wines at each region highlighting the food and wines we have eaten and drunk there.  We’ll also be checking out the historical sites and making sure we get a big dose of French culture. The students will be leaving me at Bordeaux but I intend to go on (oh! the hardship) to Lyon to try some of their famous Chocolatiers and then who knows where?!. So, if you love wine, enjoy food and like to travel, join me on my explorations…..
